About Us

Hubbard’s is a local butcher selling the finest quality meat and foods. It’s run by husband and wife David and Caroline and brother-in-law Andy. Caroline and David's son, Harry and Andy's son Jack also work within this family business. In 2021 they also took on Charlie as an apprentice.

The Hubbards are proud to say that all of their meat is locally sourced, from animals that have been treated with the utmost care and respect. This makes for healthy and happy animals, which produces the best quality, tastiest meat.

Having spent many years working in the industry in the UK and Canada as a butcher, David's butchering skills are unique. He can cater for the UK & North American market by preparing wide variety of cuts. With this in-depth knowledge, Hubbard's ensures that the customer gets a piece of meat that suits their individual requirements.

Timeline

2010

David and Caroline opened Hubbard’s Pork Shop in Out Westgate Street, Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk – their very own butcher's shop, selling the finest quality, local meat. The shop offered a wide selection of free-range pork to local people and businesses.

2012

By Christmas 2012, they had begun to outgrow their shop, so Hubbard’s relocated to larger premises, in St Olaves Precinct, on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds.

2018

Hubbard’s continued to expand. In May 2018, they opened their new shop in Moreton Hall.

The larger premises allowed them to expand and develop their range.

Hubbard’s now makes a selection of quality foods, including pies and sausage rolls, which are prepared on the premises in their in-house bakery.

In addition, they now have a deli within their shop selling cheese, olives, pasties, honey and eggs.
